How did you persuade them to grow so symmetrically, BM?

Yes - just a tad too many - dig out the courgette pickle, cake and soup recipes
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I take it you like courgettes BM, or you're going to have to get to like them

I've got ten plants which is mad as I hd six last year and ended up pulling out two before there was a household courgette mutiny.
I have a passion for skiing and seeing the first courgette flowers (today) always reminds me of standing at the top of a steep black run. You know you are in for a hell of a ride, it will be hard work, exciting and some of the time you'll be totally out of control...

Blimey!! I had 5 plants last year and picked 40kg of courgettes. There's still some ratatouille lurking in the freezer now. Good luck with that lot Mal.

I planted out 20 squashes, courgettes, pattypans and pumpkins last weekend and they've all been eaten by slugs. I'm planting new ones, but I have to admit I was really down about it.

Bung some into compost in a plastic sealed bag and into the airing cupboard/heated prop.

I'm doing another round this week, to fill in gaps. It's not too late....

Sow some tomorrow night, and Sunday might be the day you repot them - I find they germinate pretty fast once somewhere warm.

I can safely say Mally if they all thrive you are going to be swimming in a sea of courgettes and all your friends and family will stop returning your calls....
I only had 3 plants last year and ended up with Marrow's the size of sausage dogs when I ouldnt get rid of them fast enough
