Hi, this just happened to me and I thought I would share it. I have a giant sunflower in my front garden that is now about 7ft. A police car with 3 women and a male was in stopped at the side of me in the garden and told me to go over to him, I did the. He said go and rip me a leaf off that plant and bring it to me because I am suspecting it to be a cannabis plant. Ohhh how I laughed and gave him a peace of my mind and told him to sling his hook. He then pulled away all red faced as I had enbarest him in front of his lady friends. Is there any wonder police are facing cuts when there is ideots like him about. I think he needs to go back to police school the complete idiot . Has made me chuckle for the rest of the day now :-)

You should have seen his face, I don't think he was expectinge to say anything to him. I called him for everything. Even the women laughed at him when I was tellin him, that's why he was all red faced. Complete idiot to say the last :-)Comment

this is funny... infact i was gonna buy some led grow lamp and my girlfriend was scared that if i left on night time in the back bedroom for the tomatoes ( that was back in February) one day the police would break in our house... plus if someone grow cannabis they did really think that the best place to hide them is the front garden...lolComment

It was probably the 3 women pulling his leg. Deserves to be embarrassed! I have a mini forest of sunflowers growing next to my allotment. Anything more different you couldn't imagine.A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except for learning how to grow in rowsComment

This is west midlands police we are talking about, so yes they are very stupid lol. This is the same police that have just let 8 people off with murdering 3 people because they said they didn't mean to kill them. This country justice system has hon mad.Comment

I agree that police officers need a healthy sense of humour these days, and shouldn't take themselves too seriously. However a good friend of mine has just gone to join the West Midlands force and I wish him all the best in his new job. He is a lovely chap and I hope he knows his sunflowers from his elbow.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?Comment

Mine are seeds I saved from my Mongolian giant plant from last year that grew at least 10ft. Mine had started budding about 3 weeks ago but I am hoping with this good weather on the way they will get even bigger.
