WOW, Thats a big one you've got there "Vegmandan" so impressed, makes mine look like pickling onions, How do you grow a monster like that? or would you have to kill me if you told me? The question is:- Did you win with it?

That is one magnificent onion. Well done. Peter Glazebrook lives in the neighbouring village (Don't know if you've heard of him, very big (excuse the pun) in the giant veg world) Some of the stuff that comes out of his garden is unbelievable.

But far more importantly, did it taste nice?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Brilliant! I didn't sow any large onions this year, but I usually do. My ambition is to have a huge family barbecue and only need one onion. I've never quite managed it, but that one would have done it, Dan!

This might be a silly question Dan, but what happens to it now?

Well, you may be disappointed, but I'm hugely impressed, and I'd like to thank you, I've just tied my onions up ready for the garden society show on Saturday using your technique, and they are the smartest onions I've ever produced.

Big thanks and hope I win some prizes with them.

Thats a pretty big onion. Very impressive, and yes, the one onion for a family bbq would be great.
