i have a few of these seeds but can't remember if they are summer or winter squashes; and also when i should be germinating.

I Googled but found nothing.

I see that you are in Fife, and you would be advised not to plant out in the final position till the beginning of June, because of the danger of frost. Even then, give the plants some cloche protection for the first few weeks, in case there are cold east winds blowing off the sea.
It is almost certainly a Winter squash.Comment

Basically, Summer squashes are used early before they are fully mature. Winter squashes are grown till they are mature, hardened off in late Autumn and stored to be used through the Winter. I am still eating my Winter squashes, which are sweet and nutty tasting. The sowing and growing methods are similar for both types.Comment

Been hoping for free p&p, missed out a few weeks ago - we were in Cyprus, where we saw some 'Fernleaf' lavender. Looks really nice. So I thought I'd look for some plugs/plants when we got back. Seems that you start them from seed, only a few places do them. T&M had them for 99p though, but with...Today, 10:17 AM
