Thanks for that nemo. Mine are ready to plant out now - well hardened off and I finally got my bean frame ready yesterday and planted up with 8 runner bean 'scarlet emperor' and 6 (maybe 8 if the slug-attacked ones recover) climbing bean 'blue lake'. I have a couple of poles spare for the turtle beans and was wondering if they would all be okay together. I guess so long as I don't want to keep my own seeds for next year they will be fine?

What colour are the flowers on the turtle beans and do you have a recipe for black bean sauce?
Cheers
