  • Foliar feeding

Never actually had to do this before so....soooo many questions..........I mix 1/2oz of epsom salts with 1 pint water and just spray on the leaves......how much spray ? Lightly or dripping ? How quick does it work? Should I repeat? Will the yellow leaves change colour or do I remove them ?

    Answers needed pretty please ..........

Glad you've asked this question as I did it with seaweed feed the other day on my beans/peas. Need to give my toms Epsom salt feed given that I don't know whether it's blight or mag deficiency.

Because I think its just the magnesium thing that's missing ..........apparantly with magnesium deficiency feeding doesn't improve it .........

Aah...gotcha...so for yellowing of leaves Epsoms are best, for general feeding and all round goodness...Miracle Grow or such like.

Thanks for clearing that up for me

Mist it on all the leaves (affected or not) in the mid/late evening Bin's (as near dewpoint as poss') which will be a fairly rapid absorption into the stem & then water the roots with some in the can, least ways that what I did to my tom's last year & my french beans this.

Do the leaf thing once & added to watering can once a week until new leaves look normal,is what I did for tom's last year.No need to nip the leaves off I don't think,if anything like my beans the badly affected ones will drop off naturally.

For those who cannot find it in the High Street chemists try the one in More Reason's they normally have it in 400gm tubs

They contain magnesium sulphate so are for mag deficiency only as far as plants are concerned.
