    hi everyone!

i am really new to this so might need a little help!

    4) courgettes - planted april/may....only just coming through the soil! its been heart breaking!

    5) peas - planted June....growing extremely well but not sure what to look for!

    6) chilli's and peppers - planted June .... growing well now with flowers on

    7) carrots - planted June/july.....i have 'carrot tops' but no carrots!

    8) beetroot - planted june/july .... i have beetroot shoots which are about 2" tall but no beetroot yet

    9) broccolli - planted last week (july) and growing beautifully

10 ) strawberries - planted april .... harvested 6 from it but no more are there!

Well, anything you planted in June/July won't be ready for a good while yet! Be patient

Watch out for lemon balm it is very invasive and might well take over if you don't keep it in hand. Harvest the chammomile flowers now and enjoy the tea - I gave up on my chamomile because it was having a chamomile-mint fight and lost, so no flowers for me

      4) courgettes - planted april/may....only just coming through the soil! its been heart breaking!

Sounds like a long time germinating. I sowed mine 11 May and they germinated within about 10 days or so. The plants have really started to get into their stride within the last week or so, and I've had lots of baby courgettes to eat! Mind you, we did have a fair bit of cool weather. So if yours are coming up now and the weather stays warm you should be eating them by maybe early or mid-September?

      5) peas - planted June....growing extremely well but not sure what to look for!

Give them something to climb up (they'll put out tendrils when they're ready to climb, and like twiggy supports or netting rather than bamboo canes) and wait for flowers to appear. You can eat the pods while they are young, and then the peas, so you should get a crop either middle/late next month or maybe early September?

      6) chilli's and peppers - planted June .... growing well now with flowers on

These take a long time, you should get a crop eventually though. Mine were bought as young plants in early April and have only just started to set fruit a couple of weeks ago. You'll have the benefit of warmer weather though!

      7) carrots - planted June/july.....i have 'carrot tops' but no carrots!

      8) beetroot - planted june/july .... i have beetroot shoots which are about 2" tall but no beetroot yet

Neither of these take very long - a few more weeks for baby veg, os leave them longer if you want them to be bigger. You'll know when they're ready as you will be able to see the top of the veg pushing out the soil so you'll be able to get an idea of what size they are.

      9) broccolli - planted last week (july) and growing beautifully

Depends what type, I think. Some take a long time and others take even longer.

      Good luck!
