| I'll be interested in the replies as I'm trying corn for the first time and my plants seem to be at the same stage. Roughly 2'-3' high with what appears to be flowers hidden in the growing tip. Very exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next. |

| Actually, I don't feed mine. I feed the soil well befor it goes in but then I water and water. Nature (drat her!) has done it for me this year!

| My soil, though it has had lots of garden compost added each year, is basically sandy and low in nutrient. I have twelve sweetcorn in a bed, with some beetroot in between, and I am planning to do some top dressing this week - either compost mixed with balanced organic fertiliser or chicken manure pellets. I have to water very regularly too. |

| i find that sweetcorn loves being planted with french beans- the beans provide the nitrogen that the corn needs- so no need to feed at all. The cobs are always great and you get some green beans as well. i also give a bit of home made nettle and comfrey feed when watering once a week. |

| Make the elephant stand up Alice! I really think the corn is slow to shoot up because of the weather - and if we could do anything about that we'd be rich! We need a bit of sunshine. It's good for what ails you.
