Fantastic book - thought I had a bargain when I bought mine at £18 from Amazon - gutted when I saw it at £6.25 in WH Smith 3 months later. (it was £30 in Smiths and Waterstones when I bought mine) Dont forget for all you flower and plant lovers that the RHS Encyclopedia of Plants and Flowers is only £10 in WH Smiths instead of £35!

Well, I can't see how to reserve a copy instore.

Perhaps I'll order something else too, as it seems that P&P is free for orders over £15. (how are they making any profit?)

I've just ordered mine on-line, as it's not stocked at my local branch. They did have the edition prior to this new one, it's still priced at £35.00. Had a quick look at it and it really is very comprehensive and heavy, so there is no chance of me walking into town to pick it up.

Thanks for the link Duronal, as I wasn't able to access the offer in-store. Seems a bit unfair for folk who don't have internet access, I feel they should be able to order via the store and still get the offer. Lots of other books in-store for £6 too, such as huge DIY manual and large world atlas.

Normally you can do this if you ask them. I know my Mum does it in her local store, Oop North. Thanks for the tip, Vegmandan - will try and call in and pick a copy up - like I need ANOTHER gardening book, ha ha!

Update: temptation too great. You just cost me £17.99, but I sorted OH's Valentine's gift, too (I think I must be rather special to buy him a Kylie DVD!!).

Went in to Camberley this afternoon and they had 2 copies. Got mine, so now there's only one left. Thanks for that, bed time reading for the next couple of months sorted!
