The way I read it I think Solitaire means the individual trusses - may be wrong. But you can certainly cut the empty stem of the truss off, also all the leaves below it. And as Alice says, once the whole plant is finished then dispose of itOriginally posted by Alice View PostComment

Yes - if you have picked all the tomatoes off the truss you can just get rid of the stem
Yes - if you have picked all the tomatoes off the plant you can get rid of the plant.
Maybe Solitaire will come back and tell us what the question was - but I think you might be right Rustylady.

I take the truss off with the last tomato on it....ie as I go not an additional job.
