    Earthing up container potatoes

    Hi all,

    I'm new and apologise if my question is in the wrong section.

    I have potatoes growing in bags outside in the garden, my question is, when adding more compost to the bags should I cover all the leafs and stems completely or just try and cover the stems and keep the most/some of the leafs exposed?

        Welcome to the vine Adey. As you can see from the link that more often than not there is no definitive answer, and it is a case of doing what you think is best. Even mistakes can often turn out OK.
