Is it broccoli, or is it calabrese (the stuff labelled "broccoli" in supermarkets) ?

Does it say on the seed packet when it should be planted and then harvested - or have you the name of the variety?

Ok novice mistake they must be calabresse as the little heads are green and there is no way they would be starting yet ..live and learn that's why I'm on here thanks again to the knowledge available on here .. Bought them on Internet as part of a pack of plugs and they were advertised as broccoli ..but as you say the supermarkets do just that themselfs .. Well atleast il get early crops and be able to get a few things in that bed by autum for over wintering ..

Looking at you location I would say you are not far off right. I am well north of you and expect my calabrese to start to show next week maybe the week after.

They will be followed by spring cabbage.
