DT Brown and Nicky's Nursery

I can vouch for Nicky's nursery. Bought toms and chillies from them last year. The price was good and I didn't have any germination problems. Some of the hotter chillies do need to be in a heated propagator though but that's true regardless of who you buy them from. A year on and I have again had good germination rates from last years seeds.

I've ordered stuff from DT Browns before and never had a problem.

Our Allotment Society used to use DT Brown and I thought they had a great selection of seeds which germinated fine.
The society has changed to using Dobbies now. Haven't sown any yet but the choice of seeds were not as good.

I like the fact that they are p&p free, so I don't feel I have to order everything at once.

DT Browns and Mr Fothergills are the same outfit. I use Mr F's and am very happy with the quality of seeds etc they supply

Agree with all the comments above, have used DT Brown for years, first time this year for NN but no issue with seeds at all, great germination rate and packets come complete with printed label.

grew Ildi from DT Browns last year and had 100 percent germination, didn't lose any plants and they all produced loads! Great choice of tom in my opinion, excellent flavour, over 60 to a truss on mine and cut the trusses off the plant, hung up in the garage and they were fine until early november. Love them!

I wonder why Mr F's trade under two different names. I used to use them quite a lot. I was happy with them too.

I have just had some seeds delivered from DT Brown and was most disappointed with the amount of seed in the packet, hardly any, (in fact there were more in the Lidl packet)

The Ildi packet I ordered said it would contain 30 seeds, but the Koralik is supposed to have only 10.
I'm happy with that for tomatoes. All I really need is for one plant to survive long enough to fruit, now that you wonderful grapes have told me how to save the seed.

DT Brown also have very good customer service. I received some seeds from them recently that managed to get completely mangled in the post and they were quick to replace them even though they weren't the ones to blame.
