  • Cues Stopped Flowering

I've had 3 cucumbers of my plant and now it's totally stopped flowering, I've kept it watered and fed but nothing since I removed the last cue

Milk and water solution 1 to 10 dilution. It may also be something to do with the variety. Mine are still growing very strongly and There are at least 10 cues in various stages and still flowering. Bast day was about 2 weeks ago when I harvested 7 cues in one day. They are only marketmore and need to be peeled but a great flavour. Will definitely grow again next year.

Hi I am growing Marketmore for the first time this year and have been quite disappointed. Only 2 cues off one plant and 1 left to come on the other plant. Last year I grew Burpless Tasty Green and had loads - didn't have to peel them either and I reckon they tasted better too. Will go back to growing them again next year!

I've been really disappointed with Marketmore, unless I'm being too impatient. There are loads of flowers, but I've only had 2 cucumbers up to now. Might try the Burpless as they were successful for you last year. Were they outdoors in containers, or under glass?

I've been a bit disappointed with marketmore as well. 4 plants and hardly any cukes after the first lot...only made about 6 jars of bread and butter pickles...NO WAY enough to see us through the year!

This is my worst year for Marketmore, very few cucs & lots of powdery mildew. Will try the Milk & water solution & see if that does anything. Thank for the tip.

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
