    cucumber - when to pick

    so I have a cucumber growing (yey) and i'm wondering it is looking kind of ready - it has swelled, but it is a paler green than the pic on the seed lparcel.

    I was wondering is there any harm in picking them either too early or too late?

    how long is it?
    i pick mine at 6/8 inches so don't take a lot of notice of picture.
    that's been taken when they have been grown by the seed producer
    and selected best quality cue's.
    i haven't had a duff one yet and it encourages the others on.
    only got two plants and have 4 ready or there abouts

      What variety of cucumber are you growing?

      I was wondering is there any harm in picking them either too early or too late?
      I would pick it early before to late, as most cucumbers get seedy and more bitter as they get older.

        It's a superbel f1
        and it's 5 inches long - but quite fat. It's grown darker green during today.
