am far from being an expert, have they had water on the leaves, watered from the top, also look under the leaves for any bugs, fruits will also drop of if they the type that needs pollinating, and they got missed by visitors or they shut in so nothing can get to them,i would take of all the damaged growth for starters,as the plant only looks small, you could also gently tip it out and look at the roots, see if it bugged, roting or to wet, they best stood in a shallow tray with water for them to suck up as and when they need to,

like i said,am no expert, was just thinking aloud,if yours are just the bottom few,it could be natural die back, but if they like the pic posted, something wrong, look at the roots, mine have a lot of fine roots filling the pot,in the past when i had some look like that,it was the roots not formed properly,so the plant could not get the nutrients needed,it's all trial and error, only thing left to say is,hope that expert comes along for you all

It looks like chlorosis Chlorosis / Royal Horticultural Society My first thought was the compost, or possibly overwatering.

No shading in pic could be severe sun scald in this weather. I have lost a few leaves of mine to the same thing.

It picked up nicely when I eventually remembered to shade it, cumbers don't like full sun.
