    hi all,
i've got a cucumber plant growing rapidly in my conservatory. i've heard various things about pinching out, removing flowers etc. I'm not sure which variety i've got, should i bother with any of this or just let it be?

This link might help Chilliking, but I tend not to bother taking male flowers off, and do not normally get bitter cucumbers, but it will depend on the variety.

As for shoots, that depends on the room you have, you will get plenty either way. I tend to grow them on the shoots, and a few on the stem. But I do have plenty of room in my Polytunnel.

I grew Telegraph Improved last year and needed to take the male flowers off as the fruit were bitter if left on. I'd therefore recommend removing male flowers to be on safe side. Bitter cucs are horrible!!
