  • Crispy Courgette Leaves

I've Googled and searched and I can't find an answer so hopefully someone can help.

The leaves on one of my courgette plants have begun to 'cup' upwards and have gone pale brown and very crispy - like parchement. The other 5 in the same bed are fine and don't appear to have the same problem. The rain has been torrential over the last three weeks - is it lacking something and what can I do to perk the poor thing up?

Are all the leaves gone crispy brown or just the older leaves? I think some of the older leaves on mine went withery and I took them off, assuming they'd done their work. In my case there were plenty of other, newer leaves which were green.

Sorry I can't be of more help - someone knowledgeable will be along, though.

It sounds as if it could be red spider mite, which caused me problems last year. Check the underside of the yellowing leaves with a magnifying glass and see if that is the cause. Spray the undersides of the leaves if it is.
