courgettes flowering - but no fruit

You should at least get little courgettes behind the female flowers, even if they don't pollinate, they will still be there for a while before they rot - so perhaps you are just a bit late? When did the plants go out? how big are they?

are they in pots or in the ground?

also have any of the flowers got tiny courgettes at the base of them? or are they all male flowers. you need both female and male flowers for them to pollinate.

Apologies. I meant to introduce myself in my first post... I am Zoids and live in Co Durham. Since moving into our new home in April, I have a veg plot at the end of the garden which I am learning about. Have successfully grown chard, cauli, salad, pots and beetroot. Failures include carrots (tiny and edible or totally rotten), infertile courgettes (see above) and undersized, bitter swede.
I am keen to do more next year and am most keen to get some raspberry action as my three-year-old daughter is a fiend.
The courgettes were in pots but I decamped them. They look a decent size and the flowers (beautiful orange) are a good six inches long at a guess. The plants look healthy enough.
I look forward to learning a lot on here, and making friends.
