My 2nd year trying to grow my own veg.
I recently managed to harvest a hand full of Turnips and a hand full of peas, although I think i left my peas hanging a little long, the stalk has slowly been dying bottom upwards but I left it for a couple of weeks to try and get a couple of extra pods ripe as the top half of the stalk looked healthy. What do you think went wrong there?
Tried pulling up a carrot but was a bit to small for my liking so I think I'll leave them another week or two, is this a good idea?
Sorry just one more question for now. I planted a few shooting potatoes I had in the cupboard around March/April I think they were Desiree. Just an experiment really. I think one lot got Blight, leaves yellowed and died, pulled them up and had a few potatoes the size of a gob stopper and dead roots. A couple of potato plants sitting next to them are looking fine and grown well but not showing any signs of flowering, is this normal, how long should I leave them?
