  • Chuffed To Bits.

I know this won't mean diddly squat to all you seasoned growers but as it's my 1st year having a plot & my 1st year growing Lettuce, I think you'll forgive me for feeling chuffed to bits. Thanks................

I'm sure most (if not all) the seasoned growers can remember the excitement and satisfaction that accompanied the first bountiful bed of produce (I sure can!).

Enjoy the feeling for a while...then carry on nursing the rest of your veg along

        Great job!

Well done BM damn well done. Now all you have to do is eat it before it runs to seed. Looks like its salad for the near future.

Looks to me as if gorrilla's really are clever.

Is that Rainbow chard lurking in the middle of the lettuce, BM? They do look very good, says she who doesn't have a single lettuce to her name!

Funny you should say that Matt, the slugs haven't touched my Little Gem either, but they've eaten my brassica seedlings, twice! I also noticed they stripped the calabrese first.

hmm they are starting to nibble my brassicas too - maybe they've moved on from your bassica bed to mine - i wonder if they got on the buses for free!
