  • Chillie problem

    Hi,

I bought a hungarian hot wax and a jalapeno (major issues germinating chillies this year so I did buy from b&q) plant, just slightly bigger than seedlings in April.

The hungarian hot wax has chillies and it going great. The jalapeno looks healthy yet there are no signs of flowers. How do I get it to flower? am I being impatient.

sorry spelt chilli wrong in the title - joys of being sneaky at work.

My jalapeno is outside, has loads of tiny buds and a few flowers.

My bell peppers on the other hand have hardly any sideshoots and no buds

        patience is a virtue.

most of my chilli plants are just starting to flower (and attract aphids!) now. if you want to help things along then increasing the heat and light will help - keep them in a greenhouse if you have one.

I have 10 jalapeno plants. I am eating full sized jalapenos from some of them but others, although looking healthy have no flowers. (Must be a common thing this year)

I think that patience is the answer!
