  • celeriac leaves

    hi i have tasted the stems of my celeriac and it tastes ok just like celery but i need to know if its ok to eat or is it poisonous like rhubarb

    I'm not sure about eating it but I do know yuo can add it stocks etc for celery flavouring.

      I think they must be okay to eat - I know they are used in soups and stir fries etc so can't see why you wouldn't be able to eat raw.

        so when i remove the lower leaves you think i can eat them like normal celeray ?

          They aren't poisonous-you can eat them no problem.They are tasty addition to soup,stews and casseroles,if you like the taste you can chop it nicely and use it like parsley.The only disadvantage is that celeriac leaves will not be as delicate as celery ones.
