Default cauliflower help???

my caulis have just started getting heads, they are tinged pink, so i think that means they need blanching, how do i do this, and more importantly when??

should i do it now, or when they are bigger, and how long for ....... i've searched, and found nothing

thanks

You have missed the blanching point Lynda.
Blanching needs to ber done afor they turn pink. You can bend a leaf over the heads now to stop them getting sun or weather browned though.
Now is the guessing time. you can pick em now , or try an grow them on a bit bigger. I left mine for a week an they got bigger but started to look a bit rough.

It's a fine line..lol

they are only half an inch across think it would be a waste to eat them now

Just bend the leaf over and press with your thumb until you hear the leaf snap.
