If like me, you have canes lying around, why not recycle that old drainpipe & make some cane holders. Took me about 10 mins to knock up these 2. Just an idea.

That's a great idea!
We have loads that we try and lean in the corner of the tunnel but i'm forever standing on the ones that have fallen over and then having to pick them up, and then more fall down
. I found some in the garden this morning that must have been supporting something last year (sweet peas I think), i'd forgotten about them.

bunch up your canes, tie string around them, knock two nails at 6ft apart, or whatever size your canes are, in the fence, hang off the nails.Comment

Electricians plastic ties nailed to fence and just slide my canes into them. 8` on the bottom row, then 6` and finally on top 4`.

I've found a great use for my canes whilst they're not required in the Veg garden - I take a couple with me when I walk the Pup round the garden. When he does a poo, I mark it with a cane - that saves me traipsing round the whole garden with the poo bucket, I can just go where the poos are!
