  • Can chilli be potted on deeper like tomatoes?

It looks just a touch on the leggy side, just wondering if I can plant it a little bit deeper or will the stem rot?

I only have the one so can't experiment...

In my experience, it's fine to plant them up to the first set of leaves. Not quite so deep as tomatoes can take, but it's certainly fine to bury that first bit of stem to get a sturdier plant

Thank you very much, I'll put it just a touch deeper to make it look a bit more stable.

I have no idea how I'd cope without this forum to fall back on

I've planted mine right up to the seed leaves and they were fine. Good luck.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
