Apologies but this is a bit nerdy, I'm so chuffed that finally after waiting all summer I have at least one butternut squash 
. I started with 3 Hunter plants, went down to 2 fairly quickly due to possibly powdery mildew or another disease 
. Just when I had given up hope of ever getting a fruit to set on my final plant, today I see one has and is growing well. So I am very chuffed...it will be nurtured like a baby lol

Nerdy I know, but I bet others out there have experienced the joy of seeing something like this after giving up all hope.
