I've already got aquadulce claudia growing nicely but would like to sow some a bit later.

Bunyards Exhibition are a very good bean and can be sown in double rows like the five of a dice to produce strong tall plants that will not need staking. These will be ready in July just as Aquadulce claudia finish.

Ive got a crimson flowered one Bex they are incredible for scent and the beans aren't bad Apart from that The Sutton is OK if your lottie is exposed as they don't grow too big

Another vote for The Sutton here, dwarf, delicious and easy to look after on a windy plot. We eat the tops and the whole bean like mangetout when they're about the size of a little finger. This year I'm definitely going to sow every three weeks from March to August to see if we can get a successional crop. Not sure if they'll germinate in the summer heat, but worth a try!

I've got some Witkiem Manita (mistake from Alan Romans) which I've never tried before but are apparently v. good.

My Bunyard's Exhibition were disappointing last year. So I've gone back to Green Windsor. Superb flavour and good crop.

My favourite varieties that give a great crop and have a smashing flavour are Imperial Green Longpod and Masterpiece Green Longpod.
