The two Black Prince plants I bought from a market a few weeks ago are setting distinctly stripey fruits. They are dark green and light green like unripe Green Zebras or Tigerellas or Tiger Toms. So now I'm wondering if they really are what they are supposed to be. Does anyone know if immature Black Prince tomatoes are meant to look like that?

Never grown Black Prince, so don't know I'm afraid, but being extremely nosey I'd love to see a pic of them
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

Mine didn't when I grew them a couple of years ago. They're patchy green and red at first but I wouldn't say stripey.

They were definitely labelled Black Prince, cariann, although in Slovak, not English. But after seeing Thelma's and Potty's pics I'm even more suspicious that they're not. Too early to tell what colour stripes they'll end up with, or whether they'll be anything black at all. Oh well, they won't be the first plants I've grown that didn't match their description.

Click on go advanced, see below. Type post, click on manage attachments, top right hand corner click on select file, click on upload job done. You will then create your own picture gallery automatically.Potty by name Potty by nature.
