  • Beetroot leaves marked - what is it?

    Hi

I'm up in North London, and I'm growing some beetroot in a pot (from seed). They were started about 8 weeks ago, and have been growing really well. However, over this last week I've noticed that some of the leaves have some purple marks all over them. The leaves generally look healthy (ie, not rotten), but are no longer green with purple veins. I've attached some photos.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Could it be a deficiency in the soil?

    Thank you

The whole plant is heavly influenced by the deep colour of the roots. It's all part of being a beetroot!
