  • bean trench

Hi all, This morning I trotted off to the plot with the confident aim of digging a bean trench. Hubby did a sterling job but I've come away with a few worries Namely- is it one trench you dig then put canes either side or do you dig two trenches? Hope this makes sense!-hub said it's just one but i think he was knackered and i didn't trust him so i thought i'd ask you guys instead!
    thanks raine

Always thought that it was one but that it needs to be wide enough to cover the ground that both sides of the row will grow in. Suppose theoretically you could do two but they'd be so close together that your trenches would probably fall in.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Suppose it should be the width of where your plants would be plus a bit - a bit being a technical term for some................
