Way back when it was Mothers day, I asked for and got some Winter Squash seeds. One variety was Avalon, a butternut squash like plant, which, according to the packet, produced small sweet fruits. Small by butternut/cobnut standards I'm guessing.
So move on a few months and I now have 8 fruits growing, 7 of which are as per the packet description and then we have this one:
That's a 30cm ruler and the squash weighs in at 5lb 15oz
Think I may try saving some seed from this one if it tastes ok!
