  • Anyone tried Sweetcorn: Mirai Bicolour F1?

Wanted to try growing sweetcorn, but don't have a lot of 'ground' space and browing through the Thompson and Morgan website I found Mirai Bicolour which can be planted a little closer together than some of the other varieties so I thought I could give this one a try.

Has anyone grown it before? Was it the same/harder than other varieties? Was it tasty????

Sweetcorn novice here, but I really like sweetcorn so thought I would give it a try!!!

Thought I would try it in the 3 sisters style small plot, with some dwarf french beans growing up it, and some butternut sqash growing around it's feet - 5 in the row 30 cm apart, with 3 rows 45 cm apart.

I read a Which review of this in the gardening section of my paper a couple of weekends ago - it was one of their top rated seeds, so it must be good! I tried to get some seed myself, but wasn't able to buy it in the shop that I had vouchers for , so got Swift instead. It looked really nice, hope you have sucess with it.
Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

Thank you! That sounds promising - will order some then. I just want to get more corn on the little plot I have, but don't want babycorn. Fingers crossed!
