  • Is anyone else ridiculously optimistic?

I am, I believe, a reasonably intelligent person. I can even answer a question or two on universally challenged on BBC2.
I took an HND in Biological science when I was younger, So WHY OH WHY DO I CHECK FOR GERMINATION IN SEEDS THAT HAVE BEEN SOWN LESS THAN 24 HOURS EARLIER?

Mine are on the kitchen windowsill in front of me when I wash up, so........ I watch them all the time to see what is happening

Its expectant father syndrome! I'm just the same (though not a father obviously!), I check my little babies constantly!! I haven't sewn anything yet this year but I know once I get started I won't be able to leave them alone.

I can't help myself either. Don't just check once a day, oh no, at least 3 times if not more! Beginning to think I need counselling

You are not alone! Any minute now I will go slipping and sliding in the mud and rain down the garden to the greenhouse to gaze in awe and wonderment and my little seedlings!

Glad it's not just me too ! I regularly take our baby up to see the propagators and the seedlings on the window sil. She tries to eat both - so she's a bit more impatient than I am!

Everytime I pass them by I'm peering into the propogators, even though I know that it takes a little bit longer than 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15, 20 ........ for ANY seed to germinate
