Thank you all for your lovely comments, when I hear such lovely feedback it really does make me feel proud. This is my first full year at GYO and I love it, I have found something I enjoy I really would like one day to turn my hobby in to a job. To be honest I am fed up working in my current job and have never really ever been happy in any job I have done and I have had many!
I am currently keeping my ear to the ground and looking to see what is out there but I now know in my heart of hearts that a job in horticulture is for me, be it working for someone or going out on my own. The latter may be more difficult due to bad debts in the past and like most buisness that are starting up you do need a leg up from banks. I guess it will depend on what I can come up with and my own determination so watch this space

Taff I believe my luck to be down to starting most things off in modules first and a good supply of chicken and duck poo. Most books I have read have said to leave said muck 12 months to rot down yet I planted my squashes in poo that was only 3 months old. I checked it by picking up a good handful having a good sniff and once the smell of amonia had gone I planted in it!Comment

I don't know how you get time to even go to work! You must be spending every available minute working your plot and it shows. Well done you. Good luck with finding suitable horticultural work. Perhaps start small advertising help with other peoples' gardens and build from there. Good luck anyway.
