  • New green tunnel

    Hi All,

Just bought 6m x 3m green tunnel the problem I have is, I would like it twice that size if I buy another tunnel do I use them as separate tunnels or can I join the two of them together and use as one.

    Cheers Jaymac

How big is your plot. I wish I could fit one of that size and having space left for other veg.
Now imo put them together mean cut the cover and I wouldn't do that. Use them separate and when in few years you will change the cover then put them together with cable tie and buy a new poly tunnel cover for a 12 m tunnel.

If it has doors at both ends, put them end to end and walk through the doors. You could cable tie them together through the covers.

I moved into this house about five years ago with the the idea of growing my own veg but the house needed a lot of work so I only got started with my veg plot last year so I am very new to growing. I have a big plot that was full of bricks i had to remove before planting and weeding that was never ending, I got to the planting stage and put in sweetcorn, carrots, turnip, cabbage, beetroot, potatoes and a few more the only thing I got was beetroot and potatoes but I had very very healthy rabbits so thats why I bought the tunnel. Great idea about the cable ties I will try it and see how I get on.
