Hi there,
Just having a browse through the Grapevine and came across this thread.
Have you considered Algon?
A number of polytunnel suppliers, including ourselves, recommend this organic cleaning chemical.
To avoid delivery costs, ask at your local garden centres as many garden centres stock Algon.

I have a new poly tunnel, so therefore a novice to all of this - is there any thing I can do or apply to the inside to keep the levels of condensation down?Denise xox

thanks for the link to Farm in my Pocket - it's a great site and not just for the info on cleaning the poly tunnel, i think it'll be one i visit again as i'm always learning new tricks for getting the best out of my tunnel - always a novice
i've used Algon before, i swear by it now and got a bottle from premier poly tunnels when i got my last tunnel
i haven't used in on the tunnel yet as the cover is still new but i have used it on the path which has a telephone wire overhead - birds like to perch on the wire and make a mess of my pathway!
Denise: what sort of cover do you have on your poly tunnel, is it a thermal anti drip? Anti-drip films stop too much condensation dripping on your head and on your plants, as the weather gets warmer though you should make sure you have enough ventilation in your poly tunnel - open the doors on hot days otherwise things will fry!Last edited by zazen999; 06-03-2011, 05:51 PM.Comment

Don't think it can be ant drip as both me and the plants get dripped on load and the condensation runs down the sides too.Denise xox

denise before going in the tunnel use a cane/soft broom to tap the outside surfaces of the tunnel to make the condensation drip off / run down the poly, hope this keeps you a bit dryer, kevinComment
