Finally after much prodding and poking by me - Snowdrop says ok ok OK to a greenhouse His reasons for saying no before is cos we is Military and it will have to come down in a couple years and we might not get a big enough garden next time to house it yadda yadda yadddddaaaaa

I do see his point - but I also see mine in that I want a darn greenhouse!

So, the best I could get away with would be a 6 x 6 - can I ask you lovely peeps for what I should look for, tips hints etc - anything that will limit the pain the poor boy will feel when buying/erecting

What openings does it come with, usually a 6 x 6 will have a simple top opener but it's worth putting a vent on the other side to stop over heating.

would it not be easier to erect a poly tunnel .... then in 2 years you can just wrap it up and erect it at the next place ...... i'm always one for ease of work (hence why i haven't put mine up yet)

Nah, he was just worried about the greenhouse effect - you know where life ceases to exist outside the four "walls", certainly during the cooler months anyhoo.

My only advice - get a bigger one than mine!

How big's yours then? [had to ask!!!].

We measured the space we will have for our last night [once the garage is down]. We will get 5 ft wide, but should be able to go about 12 ft long. Just need to find a supplier.
