| So far we've planted into the 2 greenhouses on the plots (1 is a 10'x8' and the other an 8'x6'), 16 tomatoes (of lots of varieties), 4 aubergines, 8 chillies, 8 peppers, 3 cucumbers and quite a few french marigolds (help deter pests). At home in the back yard greenhouse we've got more toms growing on, more chillies, more peppers, more aubergines, 6 melons, and lots of other seedlings getting ready to be planted out! Once we've finished digging over the new plot we're going to put up the plastic walk in greenhouse and fill it with more toms, and the 'lean-to' glazed bit on the shed is going to be used for melons, and once the seedlings are out of the back yard greenhouse, then that too will be filled with toms, chillies, peppers and aubergines! Nick the Grief was right, one greenhouse is never enough!!

| I have brought my plastic greenhouse back from the allotment as I wasn't doing very well with growing stuff tho other years i have done quite well with toms etc. This year very poor probably cos I'm not at the lottie enough to monitor it. I thought I was too late but planted toms, cucumbers, melons, pumpkin, chillies and will plant more just going to see what happens. |

| I've used seed soil form john Innes and I think its too heavy, my runner beans rotted as seeds and my sweet peas havent even sprouted. I think I'm gonna start again with grow bag soil. Do you think the seed soil may be too heavy? This is my first year with a greenhouse. Do you water from the base or the top? I thought a greenhouse would be easy? This si my first disaster with runner beans in 25 years

| I'm confused - are we talking sowing or planting in the greenhouse??? Anyway, don't over-water runner beans and keep them warm. Some of us haven't had good results with John Innes, but others swear by it. Try something else and see how you go. There's plenty of time to re-sow runners. |
