    Decent Greenhouse 4x6 or 6x6...?

    Can you recommend a decent greenhouse for under £250? Sized either 4x6 or 6x6?

    Is this one at Norfolk Greenhouses any good? Ultimate Popular 6

    I'm tempted by the B&Q £200 all-inclusive one....?

    The Norfolk one would be okay in a sheltered spot, but it may drive you crazy constructing it - the instructions are notoriously difficult. Their Standard ones, although the instructions are just as bad, are better in a windy situation - there are no panels to pop/blow out.

    The B&Q ones where you buy the frame and polycarb panels separately are on sale at the mo., so you might get the 6x6 for the same price as the 6x4 all-inclusive? I don't know what their quality is like though, as I've never seen one built. Model 6x6 - Aluminium Greenhouse - Frame Only, 08838B

      Or you could go for a polytunnel? First Tunnels have 10% off at the mo, which makes their smallest 6x8 tunnel just over £200. Haven't checked anyone else's prices, but there's a link to Premier just up there ^ and others via Google including Robinson's and Northern Polytunnels.

        That B&Q at £100 for frame and £79 for polycarb panels is great value IMO and their frames are a darn site easier to put together than the Norfolk.....I have one of each, so talk from experience *shakes head*

        You can always silicone the panels in place to stop them popping out in hish wind. Mine have been fine since I did this.

          I've had a 6 x 4 B&Q glass greenhouse for 6 years no probs, apart from having to make my own opening window frame, as 4 foot long greenhouses only have 1 glazing bar down the middle, & you need 2 normally to fit a window in. Go for 6x6 if you have room. If your buying anything expensive at B&Q, go on Wednesday, and drag a pensioner along with you for a 10% discount!

              I have their 8x6 Gardman night mare to put together but it is double skin polycarbonate all round.

              I have had it 3 years now tied down to a concrete base and it has stood everything the weathers thrown at it.

              Thats put the mockers on it.

                  I have an Elite 6X4 ish greenhouse. It's no way big enough but that's all I have room for. I would go for the biggest one you can afford/ have room for. Wasn't too bad to put together. My neighbours came round to help and it was a bit of a laugh. Went for toughened glass as it's near the house and the children were quite small at the time.

                      Thanks for the advice, people!

                      I will drag along a 'senior citizen' this Wednesday!

                      I was going to seal in the window panels with that silicone stuff, as mentioned by Thelma.
