Default Water-saving

Anyone got any hints on saving rainwater other than the obvious ones like getting a water butt and mulching like mad? Would much apprciate it - ta!

I leave a big doggy water bowl outside which collects rainwater for my cat to drink out of. Short of wringing my cat out, I'm afraid not....

I asked at work and they had some big blue barels that they used to use for the chikin fat but they are not aloued to ues them anymore helth and safty
so i tuck all 4 they make great water buts
