Looks helpful. We had a visit from an ermine last winter, which seemed to interest some of the wild buzzards, and we are fine for rodents, thanks. Resident toads help us out with the slugs which, in turn, help with the doggy-dos.

We have been very successful in attracting moles, too.

Thanks Birdie, I especially agree with 'don't go for perfection', a bit of untidiness does no harm & encourages wildlife!

I've just made a twiggy/bamboo shelter for lacewings (see October GYO). I knew the Parndshop's horrible bamboo edging would be useful for something!

                Uck.

On Friday, (2 days ago), I had enough wildlife in my garden thank you, a sparrow hawk flattened a ring-neck dove on the lawn then proceeded to spend the next hour pulling it to bits.
It was 'orrible' i had to clean up what was left so my cats dint poke about in the 'remnant's'.

Is there no money to be made in turning it into a wildlife sanctuary then?

With Ratty , Snadger it's more likely to be a sideline in selling nice venison, partridge, rabbit & pheasant pies to go with his veggies!
