Just got this emailed.
LIDL
Can anyone tell me why they think small seeds are cheaper than large seeds. I wonder if Lidl have seen a cauliflower seed. Or am I misreading it? Is it the veg that is small & not the seed.........

Last year it was to do with the size of the packet (number of seeds).

Regardless of seed size, I grew some veg from Lidl seeds last year and once you get past the strange variety names, they are excellent VFM. All of the packs I bought stated tat there suffiecient seeds for X number of plants. On opening the packets every single one had up to 350% more seeds than I expected and the germination rate was really good for all I tried. One of the local boys who grows show veg also says that he uses certain Lidl seeds though he won't go so far as to say which seeds he buys from Lidl.

I am not doubting whether they are value for money, I've grown them myself. I just don't get the "small seeds @ 29p" & "large seeds @ 49p". I'll have a look next time I'm in which isn't very often otherwise I end up broke.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
