  • Ikea mini greenhouse

I've just seen a mini greenhouse in Ikea for around a tenner. It is made of pine with plastic windows and is about 50cmx24cm.

I am looking for something to put outside to harden off my seedlings. Does anyone know/think this is any good or worth buying? (Don't want to spend too much as space is limited in my back garden).

    If it's this one:

IKEA | Pots & plants | Plant accessories | FRÖ | Mini greenhouse

Then I'd say not to bother if you're planning to put it oustide. Mine fell apart not long after it got wet. It doesn't hold much either.

If you bought it, treated it with wood preserver and used exterior wood glue then it might be better.

      Yes, that's the one.

Can anyone suggest something similar at a decent price?

Or do I even need one at all?

You may well be better off buying one of the 4-tier mini greenhouses. You can usually pick them up for around £15-20. You'll get far more use out of it too.
