Default Chrysanthemum Plants/Cuttings - Going Going and Nearly Gone!!

Well I haven't grown Chrysanths for a few years now, but I am afraid I left it a bit late to order mine for this year. I obviously don't like paying Garden Centre prices, but when I looked on the internet, I had problems finding anyone who still had them in stock.
Just by chance a "Search Engine" directed me to Ebay where I found the Spray Chrysanths I wanted from Haileys Orchids (Norfolk).
If anyone else was in a similar predicament, order them soon, as I think they will soon be gone.

Well done!!!
I planted mine in 4 inch pots yesterday evening and will transfer them into large pots when the roots begin to fill the pot.
Just some advice needed - should I be planting them outside for blooming or in a Greenhouse - the varieties are:-

1.Wendy Bronze
2. Wendy Red
3. Gompie Rose
4.Gompie Purple
5.Ellen White
6.Ellen Yellow
7.Beppie Rose
8.Beppie Red
9.Beppie Bronze

If in the Greenhouse - are they likely to keep blooming into November and December??

Not sure to be honest but I intend doing the same as you have!

Once they are in bigger pots I intend putting them in my other 'half built' greenhouse (basically a roof but very few side panels!) The champion growers usually put a canopy over them at flowering time anyway to stop the blooms getting marked or faded by the sun.
I know these are only spray chrysanths but I have the space available so I may as well use it.
Just treat it as a learning experience and I'll compare notes with you later in the season!

Yep, arrived yesterday and all potted up today!

I've been doing a bit of research on the net and managed to get photographs of the nine species to aid in identification when they bloom.

I reckon they were originally purchsed from Delamore.co.uk but there aint any photos there. I've managed to get photos from Beckfield Nurseries, Halls of Heddon and Woolmans.

I was told the shades made me look 'cool' btw!

lol thanks, i have all those except the coneflower and dianthus they are all getting huge now i can't wait for them all to start flowering i'm determined to get a black standard rose bush, and a climbing one for next year .... i just wish they did more black easy to grow stuff, like crysanths ...as a lot of the non native varieties are struggling with the rain, and lack of sun

Remember growing the end of a carrot with the leaves on at school in a saucer - we used to pour red ink in and watch for the red veins in the leaves. Those were the days -before technology!!
