Feeding carrots

I use farm manure as fertilizer whenever possible. However this is supposed to make carrots fork. Can anyone suggest a good feed for carrots, what to use and how often to apply. Thanks.

I don't think they need anything other than regular watering Rob - well, slug / carrot fly protection

They don't even need that much water: definitely don't need feeding.

Manure is more of a soil improver than a feed anyway ...
