    as far as i know they can be, so long as they are not damaged in any way - white rot etc...

      what the best way to store them. in old tights or platted. do the leaves need to be cut off

        I'm not sure, i haven't stored them myself, but I've heard people say that if you hand then in a net bag from the rafters of a basement or cool dry storage room, then they store absolutely fine. Just check them occasionally for any that may be going bad.

          Cut off the leaves Hawthorns (but leave a short bit of stalk) clear off any muck and spread them out to dry. Outside if the weather is good, inside if it's wet. To store them you have to make sure they are really dry or they will just rot. Then hang them up in a cool airy place in a net bag or something. Check them regularly and remove any damaged ones. They should store quite well.

            If they had produced a flower head and you nipped it off [shown by one middle stalk being thicker and not pointy any more], use these first.
