Carrots - Atomic Red

Hi All,

this is my first time for growing atomic red carrots, is it normal for them to form seed heads? it is as if they have bolted or summit, i have never heard of carrots bolting.

The first time I grew Atomic Red they did the same. I think they are notorious for it. A pro gardener I know said the growing medium was too rich.

Ahh great! That would make sense as at the begining of spring I put last years home made compost in that bed.

Well at least i can harvest the seeds for next year.
