    today ive got my hands on some red karmen onion sets from wilkinsons for £1.

    they have no growing instructions on them has anyone grown these before.

    advice would be welcome as to when to plant out etc

    hindsight is a wonderful thing but foresight is a whole lot better

    As you wil notice there are already few threads on onions, including my earlier (with link below) that should satisfy your standard onion sets query:

    Besides, for growing guides on any veg, you can so easily do a google search. I found one below that may also be useful to you. Also if Wilko is selling this around this time, then it's not hard to work out that they're Spring sown onion sets.

      If you're putting them straight into the ground, then Feb/March is recommended. I've started mine sprouting/growing in cell trays and they will be planted onto the lottie when the weather is favourable (hopefully late Feb/early March. I'm also growing Red Karmen for the first time this year.
