Selecting Shallots

I did not have a very good harvest of Griselle shallots this year (planted Oct '06) - a lot of shallots, but a bit small.

I was wondering whether I should replant some of those agin this year and if so which are the best to select?

Otherwise should I just opt for buying in fresh stock?

Theoretically, if you plant some of the small shallots you should get big shallots next year! I would still go for a 'belt and braces' approach though and put in a few fresh stock as well!
